I got this “manly” set for my husband Matt. He didn’t protest , which surprised me! So I asked him, “why are you ok using this set”? He said, “because it’s made for Men – it’s for me!”
The Style Skin Care Set is packaged ready to gift with a classic & retro record vibe. Matt’s first response after opening it was that “the bottles look like old school speakers”! It’s so true! They do, and the gift box looks a bit like a record! Perfect for our guys!
Let’s talk about what comes in this awesome gift set!
- Toner – This is their first step after cleansing. Toners help remove any residual impurities on your skin to help prepare for other skin care steps. He will splash a few drops into his hands, rub together, and apply to his face (because the thought of sprinkling something on a cotton round made him roll his eyes at me lol).
- Emulsion – A light lotion that is lighter than a regular lotion or cream, but thicker than a serum. Known to hydrate and moisturize skin. Use after toner. He will shake a few drops into his hands, and top into his face.
- The set includes also includes a travel size toner & emulsion.
First Reactions
Matt had some remarkable things to say about how it smells! “It smells manly – but professional – like a professional man”. Well, I personally think it smells amazing! Crisp, Clean, and yes, definitely manly! It smells so great and lasts all day – it could even take the place of your cologne or act as an after shave. (pro tip: after applying the emulsion to your face, go ahead and rub any extra product on your hands & arms – don’t waist a drop)
One of Matt’s concerns was that it would make is skin feel oily. Whenever I would “trick” him into using any of my serums or moisturizers, he would comment that his skin felt greasy. But not with this! He got the hydration his skin needed without the oiliness. SCORE! Matt is a manager for a large grocery store chain. He is currently required to wear a mask all day long so this adds to his skin needing some extra hydration. Matt said after using VONIN, his skin felt as hydrated at the end of a long shift as it did immediately after applying it.
