belif customers come to Avon discovering this top selling brand! Are you an Avon representative… and your’e thinking… How do I find customer’s for belif? Pro Tip: They might not be customers you even have yet!

How to help belif customers come to Avon.

Watch Senior Manager of product education at Avon, Jeannine Whitver, and I train on this Top Selling brand of belif and how to attract belif customers to Avon — and to YOU!

Maybe Your’e a New Rep or are just hearing that we carry belif…

Let me just ask you a question … have YOU tried it?  That’s my first tip!  Even it’s a sample that your’e trying… so when a potential customer asks, have you tried it – you can say, “why yes – yes I have” and be able to speak to how it feels, the texture, how long the hydration lasts, etc.

Who is your belif customer?

It might not be a customer you have yet!  That’s an important mind set to grasp!  This is maybe a product that is going to GROW your customer base – to help you find a type of customer you’ve never had before BECAUSE it’s someone who already loves belif skin care or has heard of belif or simply likes the fact that this is a non Avon brand.  It’s a way to attract someone new into Avon by offering something that isn’t Avon.  Changing someone’s mindset of what Avon is and what we have to offer.

belif already has a ‘cult’ following

What I mean by that is they already have a fan base!  There are already potential customers out there who are “sold” on belif. They know it. They love it. So how do you get those existing belif customers shopping from YOU instead of retailers like Sephora or Ulta. Where are those belif fans?

Find belif customers online by using as many platforms as you can…

Instagram Tips

What hashtags are they following on social media – follow those hashtags too! My friend Micaela Serediuk is the Instagram Queen – She finds new customers all the time by using hashtags to grow her followers – You should go check her out!

For belif, she uses hashtags like – #belif #aquabomb #moisutrebomb #eyebomb #jellycleanser #hydration #thetruecream #sephora #ulta

Facebook Tips

What Facebook groups are belif fans hanging out in?

My friend Whitney Cline is the engaging expert in groups – she was just on InFocus last week teaching us about group engagement – like she says – go into those groups with the idea to ENGAGE and INTERACT and find RELATIONSHIPS to build with people.  Your goal is not to go in there hot with guns a blazing to SELL SELL SELL!  But go in there with the point to take the next step and find a opportunities to connect with people. She has a great tutorial on how to grow your customer base with a customer group & building connections.

Pinterest Tips

But don’t get stuck on those well known social media platforms – find NEW audiences with new potential customers in places like Pinterest – you can create beautiful pins on canva, or share pins directly from your online store. Gold Ambassador, Deb Hastings has amazing tutorials for how to grow your business using pinterest.

Youtube Tips

Find customers by creating a YouTube channel. Film a tutorial using belif, film a Real Life skin care video, or film a belif review. Just start with that first video – you’ll get better with each one you film!

Blog Tips

Start a Beauty Blog. Bronze Leader, Jennifer Francis has a super use friendly tutorial on how to actually build an Avon Blog – she walks you right through the process on how to start one on screen.

Podcast

In my case, my husband Matt and I just started an Avon podcast!  It’s called Beauty Boss Essentials and it’s on Spotify and Apple podcast.  It features tips for running a successful Avon business. We will be talking about marketing strategies for our brand space and personal stories of success. It’s a ton of fun!

What I did when belif first launched with Avon in early 2020

belif came to Avon in early 2020. I asked a simple question on my timeline… “Who uses belif?”

Then everyone that commented got a message from me!  I simply asked them where they currently purchase it – and would they consider getting it from me instead?  And you know what?  None of them turned me down!  Your friends and followers will want to shop from a friend instead of a faceless chain!

So maybe you already know about belif?

You love belif!  You’ve used belif.  You’ve talked to customers about belif.  But no one has bought yet… now what?

Have you heard of the 7 times factor?

It’s the fact that a prospect needs to see or hear your marketing message at least 7 times before they take action and buy from you. Now the number seven isn’t magic or a guarantee. The truth of the matter – is you can’t just engage in a marketing activity once and then be done. I call this the “post one and done”. So how many times have you posted or talked about belif? Did you post once and expected the sales to come rolling in?

What should I post 7 times?

Here are some example posts that I included in my “7 times” with belif. Post a selfie holding the product, a picture of you using it, then a quote from your own review, post a #texturetuesday picture of the formula, then a video tutorial with you using it, then talk about the product benefits, post a photo of belif products beautifully displayed in your skin care fridge while you talk about the benefits of a skin care fridge, then shout out to it’s beginning & the history of Dr Napier, then mention it’s popularity at Sephora.

Allow your friends and followers to see belif as a part of YOUR story.  Give them a glimpse of a day in your life of loving belif. Speak the language of your follower as a person, because what do we know?  People buy from people they like… and the products that you like and feature are the products your followers are going to be attracted to as well.

Sampling Tips

Do you have a drawer full of samples like I do? Avon has been so generous with their sample offerings lately.

Pro Tip: If it’s Free it’s for me! Lol Be checking that offers tab EVERY campaign before you place your order. It’ll alert you to the “offers” that campaign before you check out.

Sometimes it might be a special BOGO deal, or reminding you of the A Box offer, orrrr FREE samples!!  You just have to click and check it out!

Let’s talk about what we can do with these belif samples!

Host a giveaway in your stories!  Do a “poll” or “ask a question”.  FREE belif gift “Yes” or “Tell me more”.  This does 3 things…

  1. By simply messaging you – FB thinks …. They are friends, I’m going to show them each other’s posts.  Boom – instant increase in exposure to her.
  2. Your “free belif” is a sample of each belif product and your business card… BUT here’s the catch…
  3. In order to claim their “free gift” – they need to do is register for your Sweeps!
    1. Go to your online store, scroll down to this month’s sweepstakes and click.  Then copy and paste the website URL at the top of the page and send it via msg to your friend.  (if your sweeps is saved at your online store, click here to learn how to edit your online store to put it there.)
    2. When they enter the sweeps, Avon is now marketing to them via email on your behalf – and bonus – they have entered to win a super fun prize pack from Avon.
    3. Then they earn their free gift from you but now you have a means to follow up – because what do we know?  The #fortuneisinthefollowup
  4. Bonus … Now that the two of you are messaging… Facebook thinks you are close friends and will show your posts in their feed more often!

Now that you have your list of people to send samples to pop them in the mail or do what I call a “PPU”. Is that a southern thing?  Idk – it’s a “Porch Pick Up”.

But you’re not done yet!!!

Follow the Sample!  “Sue, did you receive my sample in the mail? Have you tried it yet?  What did you think of the hydration?  How did it make your skin feel?  What did you think of the texture?”  I’m asking specific questions to get her thinking about the product she tried.  I’m not just asking… did you like it.  That’s a yes or no question…. I want her to think about WHAT she liked about it.

Advanced Level Tips

Collaboration: Testimonials, Endorsements, & Partnerships.

Who do you know that has their own following on social media and inspires to be an “influencer” or maybe they truly already are?  This is what Beauty Influencer’s do!  Literally!  Reach out to them if you have a relationship with them (if you don’t have a relationship with them yet – start there – find common ground – don’t waive your Avon flag just yet)!  Trust me – they know belif!  They know where it’s sold!  They know how great it is!  Ask to do a collaboration!  Many will do it just for the potential new followers by ya’ll tagging each other in their post and stories.

So here’s what I do… reach out… ask to do a collab.  Send my influencer, friend, customer (anyone) a trial, even a sample, and ask her to post it, review it, share her honest thoughts and talk about where she got it – from YOU – from Avon.  Benefit to her – new followers as an influencer – a gift from you!   Benefit for you – gets you in front of potential new customers, new followers!   Follow up with anyone that reacts and comments.  “Thank you for liking the post, isn’t so and so great!  I love following her on insta – I seem to always love what she loves… and eventually – do you also use belif – where do you get it”?

My belif final tip

Don’t forget to listen for your que to offer the Opportunity to Sell Avon.  Is she raving about belif, telling all her friends and can’t stop talking about it?  She would make an awesome Avon Rep!  Does she want it all from belif but doesn’t buy ANYTHING without a discount?  What would it look like for her if she could get a great discount on ALL her belif purchases through her own Avon Account if she were to Sell Avon?  If you don’t ask – the answer is always “NO”.
