  • Connect with new technology – What technology has you a bit scared? Try something you’ve never tried before & do it scared! Learn how to start an Avon Blog to brand your beauty business.
  • Product knowledge training – stay up to date with everything available from Avon’s learning & development team on the Avon USA Representatives Facebook page. Check your campaign training guide for a single bi-weekly snapshot of all trainings.
  • Focus on tools & resources – New Digital Avon Catalog, Avon Virtual Makeover Tool, Avon Social, Social Selling by Avon group, Timeless Beauty Lessons (a support group for all Avon Reps)
  • Brand focus – sell to customers by focusing on products they need now and then products they look forward to having.
  • Pick a product to focus on – use it, take pictures of it, write about it, take a before and after, film it, ask people about it
  • Be Consistent with your Online Presence! COVID or not – this necessary tool for your business isn’t going away. Give your friends and followers something to follow – something to engage with – a positive distraction. People are at home – and they are watching you.

I have learned after 15 years in this direct sales business that you must focus on what you CAN do. What CAN you control and most importantly what can you CHANGE about what you are doing that isn’t working.

When you Run a Successful Avon Business – Know what you have to offer.

  • Personalized service – You offer the ability to help them personally select what will best meet their needs. They have the luxury of a personal shopper without the added expense.
  • Contact-less delivery – whether they order online or you make a personal delivery at their doorstep – you can offer contact-less service!
  • Personal care – People are still brushing their teeth, washing their hair, using deodorant, and needing Avon Root Touch Up! So what can your friend buy from you, versus a faceless chain! What 5 things would they need to buy at a Big Box Store right now for their bathroom that they could get from a friend instead?
  • Self defense products – Ask your customers if they have everything they need right now – what can’t they find at the store?
  • Home Essentials – from Avon laundry detergent sheets, to cleaning products, dish soap, and Avon essential oils – we have all the things they need to keep their household running!
  • Skin care – women might be wearing less makeup at home but need to take care of their skin now more than ever!
  • Makeup – we are still zooming & face timing – and let’s face it… getting all done up a few times a week just makes us feel better!
  • Fashion & jewelry – give women access to these luxuries without leaving their home. Giving them something to look forward to. Shop for the fun things without having to go to a crowded store!

Find your Tribe on Social Media

Who are your kind of people and where are they hanging out online? Meet them where they are & engage with them there. What group can you join with interests similar to yours? Is your audience on instagram, tik-tok, snapchat, youtube?

Build connections – intentionally, genuinely. Be helpful, engage & interact. Become a part of a group not with the intention of selling & marketing – but with the intent to connect with real people in a real way. The selling & recruiting can come later after you establish a relationship with new people. Build mutual trust & respect.

Be a resource to people. How can you help them? How can you serve them? How can you meet a need? Provide every day products they can buy from you without having to go to the store. And even provide a way to generate their own income with Free Enrollment right now.

Go LIVE!! Do a makeup tutorial, complete your skin care routine, use those home essentials, paint your nails, do an unboxing, share the Avon opportunity, or record just your hands if you feel uncomfortable. If a live freaks you out too much start by recording yourself and then post.

Create & Build your own Avon Brand

How are your followers identifying with YOU? Not just with Avon. Where is that connection coming from and why? What do they like about you?

Are you sharing your own photos & videos and not just relying on stock photos from Avon Social. As beautiful as they are – they are like commercials. Your followers are there for the big show – that’s YOU! Imagine you are watching netflix – are you going to sit through commercial after commercial or are you clicking “next”? Your followers are doing the same on facebook. If they see too many “commercials” from you – they will scroll on by. But if they see YOU – they will stop their scroll and see what you are up to! If you do use Avon Social – be sure to write something personal along with it. Your thoughts, Your testimonials, Your story. To become a successful entrepreneur, building your brand is key!

People buy from people they like. People that like you, will probably like the same things you like. So SHOW them what you like in your social media posts!
