How Avon Responded to the Pandemic

Avon Responded to the Pandemic according to Newsweek

Amid the Covid-19 outbreak, Newsweek took note of 50 companies that stood out for their efforts & contributions. Avon responded to the pandemic with generous gestures. As Newsweek was compiling their list, they were looking for companies making noteworthy contributions across different industries & categories of giving.

Avon responded to the pandemic

Avon sent $2 million worth of personal care & hygiene products like soap, body wash, and skin care, to Feed the Children in March. And, The Avon Foundation for Women pledge $1 million to frontline services that help victims of domestic abuse.

One of the harshest realities of COVID-19 and the necessity of the social distancing that tragically shutters numerous businesses and puts countless people out of work is a family’s sudden inability to access essential supplies and to afford them even if they can.

Avon responded to the pandemic

Avon’s partner, Feed the Children, works closely with community partners like schools, civic organizations and food banks to serve the most vulnerable populations and others who may be experiencing difficulty due to a job loss in this uncertain environment. Feed the Children has alerted Avon to the most pressing needs of the most affected communities so it can send vital resources to help keep these families afloat.

“Avon is proud to have partnered with Feed the Children since 2004,” “Because of our longstanding relationship, it made sense to work with Feed the Children for their COVID-19 relief efforts. They work diligently to get our products to the people who need them most.”

Best Virtual Try-On according to Allure

Even before the pandemic, AR Technology (augmented reality) was on the rise in the beauty industry. AR allows for virtual try-on, allowing a customer to swipe on a new lipstick shade, eye shadow, or even select the perfect foundation shade via desktop browser or mobile app. Avon embraced these futuristic makeovers, along with other big name beauty companies.

Avon responded to the pandemic by bringing this technology to it’s customers. Sure, there are many hygiene & health reasons to use the Avon virtual makeover tool. But even without covid to consider, virtual try-ons are worth your time. Thanks to the magic of technology, you can test out dozens of shadow shades in a few seconds & take selfies in makeup that you might not normally try. So go ahead, smile & try-on your perfect shade with one of the best virtual try-ons the internet has to offer according to Allure magazine.
