Let’s start with some terms you may hear people using when they talk about how to Sell Avon on Social Media. Let’s make sure you know what they all mean.
- Online Store – the website where your customers can shop form you 24/7 (www.avon.com/?rep=emilystephens is mine for example – insert your own repid at the end)
- Platforms – the app or program that you are on – like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, for example – these are all different “platforms” that give your Avon business an online presence on social media.
- Link In Bio – your “link” (or website address – url) is your online store address or , and should be in your “bio” (which is the Intro, profile or about me section) on all your social media platforms. This way – you don’t have to type it in every post. Some platforms don’t even have the ability to have live links (which is a clickable links that takes you straight to that site). For example Instagram and tik tok do not have the ability to type a clickable link. It should be easy for someone glancing at your bio to have access to your link when they see something they like and decide to take action with you.
- Facebook Business Page – this is different from your Personal Profile. Think of a business page as your yellow pages on Facebook. It’s a place where people can find you. Post most of your Avon content here – but integrate YOU into your posts. Heres an example of mine, Beauty Boss Essentials.

Did you see that it warms up on your skin when it comes in contact with water? Have you ever experienced any kind of warming peel?” This simple message conversation could easily lead to a sale!
Etiquette – Stay Positive on Social Media. People are Watching you! Legit – they are! Even if they don’t like or comment, they ARE watching you! You WILL attract the energy you put out there. Be Yourself – of course! But Resist the temptation of airing your dirty laundry on social media. Portray the energy you want to ATTACT because you will do EXACTLY that!

It’s your job to entertain them & engage them so they stick around and keep watching your show.

Posts like, “Who wants some Avon” “Join MY Team” and “Hey Girl” messages are what I call “shouting” on social media. Do you have kids? When my youngest jumps in my face and screams “MOMMY – I want…” I don’t hear her? I’m distracted and annoyed at the shouting. Calm down, and talk to me honey. Lol – Seriously though – don’t come in HOT at people with your Avon flag waiving! Just talk about it – relate to people in real life by showing them real life!
Facts Tell/Stories Sell
This is so true! Tell a person a ton of Facts and they will gloss over. They don’t care about to hear every Fact about a product, they don’t want you to list each ingredient with a 30 minute science lesson! Tell them a story about why you love it and how you use it and what it does for you and how that product will benefit them. Tell them a story about how that jewelry made you feel when you wore it and the memories you now have in relation to that piece. Tell them how you feel when your makeup is on point and you’re having the best hair day ever – because that’s what everyone wants – they want the feeling that you just described to them in your story! Because they like you – they are following you. And remember – people buy from people they like!
